Overcoming Mistakes: God’s Call Remains

The scripture says, “For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance (Romans 11: 29)”.

David in the Bible is a good example. He sinned greatly against the Lord by committing adultery with Bathsheba and arranging for her husband Uriah to be killed in battle. Yes, he paid a heavy price for it, and the Lord did put away his sin, but did that stop God’s plan for David’s life? No, it did not.

David still wrote us many Psalms after the incident that we still all read today. Jesus still called Himself “The root and offspring of David (Revelation 22: 16)”.

Have you done something wrong? Yes, repent, amend and get it right with the Lord, but remember, heaven still has a plan for your life.

Consider this: If David’s sin had occurred in our modern times, would people still listen to him? While we do not condone what he did and David did pay a heavy price for it, it was written and recorded in the Bible for a reason.

God did not give up on David and neither has He given up on you.

Today, we are still reading David’s Psalms, thousands of years later. The people whom the Lord has assigned to you are waiting for you to rise up and do what God called you to do.

For the giftings and calling of God are without repentance.

It is time to rise up and move forward in God’s plan for your life.
