“I will lift up my eyes to the hills—
From whence comes my help?
My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth (Psalms 121: 1-2)”.
Just imagine what magnitude of help is available to us.
Imagine what the Lord did to make the heaven and earth that still exists today.
Can our same God not help you?
So we may boldly say:
“The Lord is my helper;
I will not fear.
What can man do to me?” (Hebrews 13: 6).
When we know that our help is from the Lord that made the heaven and the earth we will be very expectant of divine help from Him.
God is a specialist in every situation.
In 2 Chronicles 5, we see God deliver the Hagarites into the hands of the sons of Reuben, the Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh because they put their trust in God and God helped them (2 Chronicles 5: 20).
God also helped Jehoshaphat and caused his enemies to move away from him:
“And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, It is the king of Israel. Therefore they compassed about him to fight: but Jehoshaphat cried out, and the Lord helped him; and God moved them to depart from him (2 Chronicles 18: 31).
Our God is still the same God.
David said this in the Book of Psalms: “He Lord preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and He helped me” (Psalms 116: 6).
We have been told to come boldly unto the throne of grace to ask for help in time of need (Hebrews 4: 16).
Be expectant!
The Lord will help!
Just imagine the capacity that God has to help you!
God can move mountains
God can speak to the heart of men.
God can heal.
God can set free.
God can open doors!
Indeed your help comes from the Lord that made heaven and earth.
Be expectant.
Just ask for help from the Lord and trust Him.
