Let us look at a few of the scriptures:
1 John 4: 9
“In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him”
God sent Jesus Christ so that we might live through Him.
We do not need to struggle in this life; we need to live in the freedom that we have through Jesus Christ.
So what does that look like?
As we live through Christ, we are invited to live through grace and truth ( John 1: 14)
As we live through Christ we are invited to live in His strength ( Ephesians 6: 10).
We live through the redemption in Christ Jesus (Romans 3: 23; Colossians 1: 14).
As we renew our minds we see things from a higher perspective, having the mind of Christ on a matter (1 Corinthians 2; 16).
We need to live in the awareness that we have been invited to live through Christ. This is done by faith, by simply acknowledging what we have in Christ. We can see that there is no need for us to struggle through live as we have been called to live through Him.
Ephesians 2: 6- 7
and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus
Verse seven is what l want to draw your attention to. Only eternity will reveal to us the exceeding riches of His grace towards us In Christ Jesus. The scripture says “in the ages to come”.
Romans 6: 23
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord”.
The gift of God through Jesus Christ is eternal life.
How do we receive this eternal life? By making Jesus Christ Lord and Saviour of your life. Whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved ( Romans 10: 13).
How to receive this eternal life can also be found in this scripture:
“ That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10: 9-10). It is that simple.
Romans 8: 38- 39
“ For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord”.
From this scripture, we see that the love of God is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Just a recap:
God has expressed His love towards us through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Those in Christ live through Him.
We will really know the exceeding riches of His grace towards us in the ages to come.
Eternal life is in Jesus Christ.
Gods love is in Jesus Christ.
Call to action:
Do you know Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.
As a Christian in Christ, are you walking in the reality of what is available to us in Christ Jesus which is all an expression of the love of God for us.
