Jesus also said “ “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ” (Matthew 4: 4).
So we can see that God’s word is compared to bread which is food.
So for us to benefit from God’s Word, good teaching, we can’t just read or gaze at it once. We must go back and listen to it over and over again and meditate on it. That is how figuratively we will digest the Word of God.
It is when we digest it just as a natural meal that needs to be digested that it will influence and produce life in us (Proverbs 4: 22) . This is when we will begin to see the fruits.

It may not happen in one sitting, but as we diligently study and meditate on God’s Word, we will begin to see life in our lives and areas that we desire God’s Word to become a reality in this realm.
We must be diligent in studying and meditating on God’s Word. Once we receive revelation, we need to act on what has been revealed to us.
Indeed, Jesus is the bread of life.
It is meditating on scripture and acting on the revelation that we receive that brings life.
How do we meditate on scripture?
In practical terms, you can take a scripture and ponder and think about it over and over again. As you do so, the Holy Spirit will give you more understanding of the scripture, which produces life.
