“ Then the men said to Lot, “Have you anyone else here? Son-in-law, your sons, your daughters, and whomever you have in the city—take them out of this place! 13 For we will destroy this place, because the outcry against them has grown great before the face of the Lord, and the Lord has sent us to destroy it (Genesis 19: 12-13)”.
We can only imagine how Lot’s sons-in-law felt when brimstone and fire from heaven came upon Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 19:24).
Not only did they lose their lives, but they also left their wives childless, which caused Lot’s daughters to have children with their own father (Genesis 19:31-38). This would have been avoided if his sons-in-law had listened to him.

No man lives unto himself ( Romans 14:7). Our decisions affect others. Parents’ decisions affect their children; children’s decisions can impact the family and others in their sphere of influence.
Let us live godly lives, for no man lives unto himself.
Before you make that decision, ask yourself: how will that affect not just me but others? How will this decision impact those who are coming after me?
There is no doubt that had Lot’s sons-in-law listened to their father-in-law, not only would they have saved their own lives, but also saved their wives from having children by their own father.
